Yasko Koko

Singer, Yasko Koko ( Birth name: Yasuko Kousaka) was born at the small village called Yamagata in North Japan, known for vast rice fields and the old, traditional Japanese lifestyle.
As early as sixteen years old Yasko discovered her passion for jazz music.  After moving to Tokyo Yasko spent five years performing at various Tokyo music nightspots.  Tokyo was followed by  New York City, the one place that Yasko needed  to learn and experience- the music scene that she long dreamed about-her entire life.
But New York City proved to be too big and too powerful to overcome, which resulted in an extended break from music while she and her husband raised their family in New Jersey- followed by life as a single working mother.
